Macbook Crashes when using 2 External Drives on Docking Station

Hi guys!

I am using a MBP M3 Pro on Sequoia. I have a UGreen Revodok Pro 313 docking station that has 2 2TB Samsung T7 Shield external drives plugged in. Whenever I am doing heavy load like rendering video that uses one of the drives, my macbook suddenly flickers and all of the accessories that are connected on the dock reboots (External Monitor, mouse, keyboard). The dock is powered by a 100w charging brick. I have no issue when using only one external drive, but I really need to use both of the drives because of my work.

If this impacts your work, restore from backup and revert back to Sonoma or whatever your previous macOS version was. Apple is working to fix bugs and there's updates coming. But this sounds like a deal breaker. You may be better off reverting then waiting for a few updates from Apple for Sequoia and giving it another attempt.

There were plenty of external drive issues when Ventura was new. These things happen nearly every year. That's why I wait to upgrade my primary work systems until most all the kinks are worked out. I use an older Mac to test on or I create a new APFS volume in Disk Utility and install the latest just released macOS on that and dual boot. Providing you have a large enough internal SSD (80GB min just for macOS).
