Delete or Edit in Contacts

My mom entered a new contact (IPad contacts) and put the wrong email address. Simple to fix one would think, EDIT contact and put in the correct email.

When you go to Email program and begin to create a new email, it still pulls the WRONG email address up. Actually it pulls up both email address for the contact, even though one has been over-written.
There appears to way to delete the wrong information from memory in the IPad.

Mom does NOT have a computer - she is working only with IPad.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated

The Mail app on the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch does have an option to clear previous recipients. The only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is restoring the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch as a new phone/iPod. If you restore from backup, the cache is also restored.

Eventually, the erroneous address will drop out of the cache if it's never picked. But, I don't know how long "eventually" is. If it's a problem for her, you can restore her iPad. This article shows you the screens you will see during the restore: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
