Is MacCleaner Pro a vetted cleaner for the iMac - I am looking to see if there is one to keep my Mac as Fast and clean as possible.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 15.0

Not needed at all. The first rule of thumb to keeping your Mac running in tip top shape is: Don't install junk.


You will find that those will just slow your computer down and it is the marketing of claiming they will speed up your computer, that entices people to buy them. The most famous one is CleanMyMac, referred to here as BrickMyMac, for all the trouble it has caused users. In some cases they had to Factory Reset their computer just to remove it. You can use the Search option on the top of this page and search for a particular program and any issues users have had.
