The iOS 18 update for M4 iPad Pros was pulled by Apple, because it was causing severe issues on those models even rendering them unusable.

You will need to wait until iOS 18 is available again for the M4 iPad Pros to update the 13" iPad Pro and restore the backup at a later date.

Its not like its never coming back, it will be fixed and released again for M4 models eventually. Probably in not too long a time frame either.

Why would you take a $1300 loss? Be patient, iOS 18 will come eventually. Could be tomorrow, could be next week. But you’ll get it.
