Comcast/xfinity email no long working on my iphone

I have iso17.7 installed on my iphone 13. I had to change my xfinity comcast password. I went into all the settings on my iphone changed the pass word and can not get any emails. I deleted the email account and when reinstalling in the middle of the reinstall of the account a pop up window comes on the phone saying cannot get mail no password provided. I have everything set up as far as I can see correctly all passwords are set up the same everywhere, but still no email getting to me on my phone. Any ideas of who to ask or what the issue is. I have been searching now for 2 hours to try to fix this.

iPhone 13, iOS 17

First check on the Xfinity website to make sure everything is working correctly and that the settings there will allow access from your iPhone.

  • Sign into the Xfinity Web Mail
  • Click the Gear Icon on the upper right of the Screen.
  • Choose the Security option
  • Make sure the box to allow Third Party Access is checked.

Then, verify the settings on your phone:

  • Go to Settings > Mail > Accounts > [name of account]
  • Enter your Password in the section titled Incoming Mail Server and save.
  • Go back to that screen and go to SMTP
  • Tap the Primary Server on top which should say smtp.comcast.net
  • Make sure the switch is on that says Server
  • Enter the same password from before
  • Use SSL should be on
  • Authentication should say Password
  • Server Port should be 587
  • Save any changes you make.

Check if you now able to get and send mail.
