Option to text or call when selecting a phone number in iMessage

My wife just switched over to the iPhone from Android and the Android would give you the option to text or call if you selected a phone number in iMessage. How do you do that on an iPhone?

I understand that you would like to know how to select a phone number within an iMessage and have an option to either send a message or call that phone number.

Open the message, that contains a phone number, in the Messages app. Touch and Hold the phone number and a sub-menu should pop up. This sub-menu will give you options to call or message that number along with a few other options.
