Charging plug

I purchased an iPhone Pro Max which uses a Lightning charger plug, my new iPad uses a USB C charging plug. People are telling me that my new iPhone should have an USB C plug like the iPad. I bought the iPhone from a Verizon store anyone else have this issue ?

Apple's Specifications for the iPhone 15 Pro Max indicate that the product uses a USB-C port for charging.

Are you sure about your model number?


Tap Settings > General > About > Model Name


FWIW, the iPhone 14 has a Lightning port.

If your iPhone has a lightning charger, then you do NOT own an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
