Inquiry About Grey Download Circle in Music App

I am writing to inquire about a feature in the Music app on my iMac. I have noticed a grey download circle beside some of the songs, which I believe indicates that the song is downloaded on my device. Could you please provide more information on what this grey download circle signifies and guide me on how to remove it if necessary?
