Why isnt there sort by newest/oldest in hidden photo album ios18

In the ios 18 version of the photo app. Open an album hit the bottom left ⬆️⬇️ button and it gives the option to sort by oldest or newest.

Go to hidden album. hit the same button, the option to sort by oldest or newest isnt there. It is sorted by newest by default.

It’s the reverse of the normal where oldest photos are on top, newest at the bottom. It is incredibly annoying.
