Moving documents to external hard disk or creating a new documents folder I can use on external hard disk

I want to create a system where all the data is on external hard disk

iMac 27″, macOS 15.0

Yes, you can create new folders on an external drive, then move your documents and other files to them.

If you are looking to free up space, you can also move your Photos, Music, Movie Libraries to an external hard drive.

Moving, storing and accessing files or libraries to an external hard drive is fairly easy.

The problem is that it is not as safe and that external hard drive needs to be backed up by a second.
