Unlock MAC with Apple Watch not working

Unlocking my MAC mini M1 with my Apple Watch is no longer working. It seems to have started after updating to MACos 15 Sequoia. After waking up my MAC it seems to try the Apple Watch since I see "Unlocking with Apple Watch". It will then time out and I would have to enter my password. This is also affecting any account I creating using "Sign in with Apple". When trying one of my accounts it didn't even try I had to enter my password. Luckily I have the iPhone app for that site and was able to login to the app on my iPhone (14 Max Pro)

I tried turning off "Unlock with Apple Watch", restarted, turned it back on with no luck. Watch, MAC and iPhone are on same WiFi. I also have my MAC hard wired which never caused an issue before.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It seems a work still in progress and is a hit or miss with the Initial Versions of macOS 15.0 and iOS 18.0

Tested using a M2 Mac Minis macOS 15.0 and an iWatch series 9 with iOS 18.0

All requirements for this to function have been are met

I would hold off using this feature until maybe macOS 15.x ? and iOS 18.x ?

Forgot to check back in but the last update fixed the issue. My Mac now unlocks with my Apple Watch.

Thanks for the reply and the information. Have to wait and see if it gets fixed in an update.

Oh, I figured out what I was doing wrong using Sign in with Apple. After clicking Sign on with password I was entering my Apple ID password and not my Mac account password. So I am good with that.
