disable all grammar suggestions in macos

Question

disable all grammar suggestions in macos

i have every single grammar correction/suggestion setting disabled and yet im still seeing suggestions and it underlining bad spelling/grammar. how do i stop this

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.1

You can't. Even if you turn off every auto-correct feature below, the system will still flag misspellings and grammar. It just won't make any attempt to change them.

Though as dialabrain notes, some apps follow their own rules. The OS settings are more generalized.

Are you seeing this in specific apps? Can you reproduce the problem in TextEditwith some demo text that you could paste here? That way we can try it on our own and maybe see where the problem is.
