Facing Activation Lock issue on my iPhone

hello everyone

I hope this thread will find someone who can help me out i bought a used iphone for the first time from a huawie phone to i phone 14 i was given with a phone with no i cloud id i made one and signed in as normally we have to do then i tried to transfer my whatsapp by using apple android to ios app and it demanded to reset phone i reset the phone and the phone just keep on turning off and then come to the home screen it unlocks and have all the data with some pictures and the login details of my social media accounts and there was no change no factory settings were impelemented and then i tried to reset it by itunes a friend of mine asked me to set your iphone on recovery and then the dialogue box will appear on itune to restore it to factory setting when the process completed it took me to the activation lock screen and then i entered email and i cloud password and it says it is not the i cloud id for activation . I dont find anysolution what to do now what should i do what this scenario means i want instant help please

i hope an apple representative will help me

For starters, where did you get this iPhone? It’s very possible your iPhone came Activation Locked. Activation Lock is a security feature that prevents unauthorized use of your iPhone if it’s lost or stolen, is also used by third-party sellers, selling the device practically unusable.


Try asking the seller for a refund. You don’t know who the owner is, neither do we or Apple, so we won’t be able to help you remove the Activation Lock. Next time, buy from Apple or an Apple Authorized Retailer.

This is a user-to-user forum. You are not speaking to Apple. However, under the circumstances you outline, there would be no point in speaking to Apple. You have a used phone that is Activation Locked. You clearly don't know the Apple ID and Apple ID password to which it is locked, and you clearly don't have proof that you are the original purchaser of the phone. You cannot unlock the phone, we cannot, and Apple will not.
