find IMEI on apple watch series 6 but no longer have watch and was unpaired

i sent my watch in for trade in and it was in great condition. i got an email today that “LCD display burn in damage/streaks/discoloration across the screen” which i did not experience and i requested it be sent back. i’m worried i won’t get my actual watch back-how can i confirm if i unpaired and bought it too long ago to still have emails?

Your original receipt should have the serial number on it. Or if you had a cell plan, your cell carrier may have a record of the IMEI. If you don't have the receipt and your carrier can't give you the IMEI, then you have no way of verifying that the Watch you get back is the one you sent, though if you were working with Apple directly, I very much doubt that they'll send you back the wrong watch.

Regards.
