Can Watch automatically begin driving directions when using Siri without selecting a route?

I have an Series 6 Watch with WatchOS 11.0. I'd like to have the same functionality that I have with my iPhone:

  1. Activate Siri
  2. Say "Get driving directions to <address>"
  3. Maps on my iPhone pulls up several options of routes
  4. I do nothing for several seconds
  5. Maps selects one of the routes and automatically begins displaying driving directions

Even if there are several routes displayed, I don't particularly care in this instance which route is picked. What's important is that iOS automatically picks one of the routes (or the single route if there's only one).

When I activate Siri on my Watch and ask for directions, it always requires me to select a route. If I do not tap on anything, then the Watch locks after several seconds and I have to reactivate Siri to try again.

Is it possible to have the same "auto-start" functionality on my Watch as I do with my iPhone?

Apple Watch Series 6, watchOS 11
