Why is my iPhone brightness low after updating to iOS 18?

I updated to iOS 18 last week and yesterday I woke up to my phone brightness being very low. I went to check and it was at max brightness. I’ve restarted multiple times, turned off auto brightness, night shift and True Tone. It’s still very dim. Is this a bug or is there a concrete fix to it?

I am not sure which method you used to Restart your iPhone. You may have already done this but if you have not, then Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Press and quickly release Volume UP button
Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
