An Apple product specifically for viewing photos

I have been searching for an Apple product that is specifically for viewing photos from my iCloud. I don’t want to use an iPad as this is far too costly for simply viewing photos. I have been searching for an Apple photos frame but it seems to be non-existent. I I want to be able to log into iCloud from an Apple product and view my photos. Does anyone know if this exists? Thank you.

You could get a 1st gen iPad mini off eBay. Should be cheap and probably does what you need. I got one for free when my employer threw the old iPads out. Reuse is better than going to landfill or tech-shredder.

The problem with products for a very limited use case (such as a photo frame) is that they're hard to keep people interested in them, hard to update without blowing out the core offering (namely viewing photos), costly to start a new product line with uncertain future. An early iPad does probably exactly what you need.

And watches-- don't forget watches! Maybe rings?

It seems like something Apple could make! How hard would it be? A number of frames I see on Amazon do connect to the internet through wifi, and you can send pictures directly from your iPhone.

I think you ought to suggest it to them, here:

Unfortunately, Apple doesn't pay for unsolicited product ideas…

Hi Richard. Yes, I see there are so many other frames to choose from. What annoys me is the sending photos to another device. Copies of photos everywhere! More space used up in the world running out of space to place servers etc. I crave for an apple device that I can simply log into my iCloud photos and boom, there they are. Even the possibility of choosing albums, particular people or all images. Imagine gifting grandparent's withe a digital photo frame where all images of their kids and grandchildren are the only photos that get sent to their device. Magical :)

Hello

Yes, I believe it can and. We’ve just purchased Apple TV. I’m yet to install it.

However, the TV is not in a place that we all sit and congregate. If we do, we are watching TV.

I’d like this device on a wall somewhere more central like the kitchen

Still looking for a device from Apple that is simply a device to show only photos ❤️♥️❤️
