Link between my hotmail and Apple Mail constantly breaks

Hi there,

The link between my hotmail address and Apple's Mail app constantly breaks. This seems to happen particularly when I travel abroad – and I travel abroad a lot for work. This happens on my desktop and phone simultaneously.

Often I try to relink them and I add the correct password, but the password is rejected. After 24-48 hours this magically resolves itself, sometimes – other times, I have to go without email service for a long time.

It is exhausting to have to continually fix this. Please help.
