iOS 18 unable to turn off Microphone noise suppression

Ever since I’ve updated to iOS 18, my microphone output has been automatically suppressed. Any time I’m on a call, it will suppress every noise that isn’t my own voice regardless of volume. I’ve tried multiple microphones as well as multiple applications but my microphone output has remained suppressed. I’ve disabled all suppression settings but I am still unable to fix this issue. This feature is extremely restrictive and limits the ability to hear any and all sounds that aren’t a voice. Furthermore every call application I own has been rendered useless to me on Apple devices.

You may get better and prompt responses if you may kindly provide the iPhone Model that you have and the iOS version if it is known to you and re-post.

With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution! Please look in the right direction.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.
