Can't find serial port

I'm using an hub from ugreen (https://eu.ugreen.com/products/ugreen-6-in-1-usb-c-hub?variant=46973588046172) and I'm trying to get a connection through serial port with the MicroChip debugger MPLAB SNAP. I connect to my Mac and in system report the debugger is found

I go to the terminal to search it's name to then use the CoolTerm app to open an terminal and the only one found is an bluetooth port

The weird part is that to send code to my mcu I use I2C that is also a serial communication protocoll.

Can someone help me out or even tell me if the hub I'm using is not capable? Or do I need an USB-TTL adapter to get the serial communication working?

It might be worth trying with a powered USB hub.

What else is connected and drawing power from your Mac?

According to the SNAP documentation,

"system power is derived from the USB interface. The debugger is classified as a high power system per the USB specification."

Also, this:

"If you are going to use a USB hub, make sure it is self-powered."
