Apple Watch taking 6+ hours to sync at end of settup

I’m trying to sync my new Apple Watch to my iPhone 14 and at the end of setting it up it put me on a screen that says “ Your Apple Watch is almost ready. You’ll get an alert when it’s done, so you can use your iPhone as you normally would. While you’re waiting, learn more about your Apple Watch.” I went to bed and woke up to still be on this screen at the same loading point as the night before. Also I have made sure both my watch and iPhone are fully updated. Another thing is that when this page first showed up it took a few minutes to disappear and while in search for a watch face it put me back on that screen. Please help me out I don’t know if it’s normal to take so long, which I doubt or if I need to restart it.
