Ny phone is stuck in SOS mode. I have restarted it, turned airplane mode off and on, turned cellular off and on. All several times. Nothing works.
any other ideas?

Thank you. I have just returned from the carrier store. They brought in an employee to handle the number of customers coming in with this issue. There is an outage. They have no estimate of time for when it will be fixed. The employee recommended updating IPhone software to the latest 18.something for satellite coverage. I did do that. I’m still unable to make calls with satellite. The employee thought that might be the case with the overwhelming number of users trying to do the same.

By chance do you have Verizon? I had no idea something was wrong until my husband got home and said he tried calling and texting me… then I tried calling out and couldn't. I texted my daughter in Texas and it went through.

My son has Verizon and he started having this issue. iphone 15 promax
Add my iPhone 15 Plus to the problem mix. Looks like a lot of people having the same problem on the same day... Something's up.
