Are dbrand skins effective for Macbook Air Protection?

Is getting a Macbook Air Skin worth it?

So Im getting a new Macbook Air M3 right? I completely discarded the idea of getting a hard case protection, given the multiple problems it causes eg. scratches, extra weight on hinges that causes stress and overtime doesn’t hold the lid/screen properly, so I found out about options like skins from dbrand.

I tried taking the youtube path to findout if there was any possible downside to it but couldn’t find anything much useful. My main concern is protecting my new laptop from scratches while not putting too much weight on the hinges. Does anyone have experience using dbrand skins, that could tell me of their screens hold up like they should?

Thanks in advance.

Anything you put on the outside of your Mac will interfere with heat dissipation. Just don't. If I'm not using a bag with a padded section or am just carrying my MBP, I use a padded neoprene sleeve. It was less than $20 on Amazon at least ten years ago. I've never gotten noticeable scratches on any of my MBA/MBPs over the years. I've always gotten full trade-in value.

And never, ever put anything over the keys. That's an express ticket to screen damage.
