Charger selection

If the port really is not working correctly, it won't matter what charger that you are using.

Did you try another power supply and cable to confirm that it is the port that is not functioning properly?

Clean out the port with a toothpick to clear any lint or debris that might be preventing good electrical contact?

If yes, then you need make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple Service shop to let them take a look and go over your options with you.

This sounds like two different questions/issues.

1 - "What kind of charger do you recommend?"

and/or

2 - "I can't charge my phone with the Lightning port"

Does work for syncing data with a computer?

Does it work with a headphone adapter for audio?

Have you swapped the cable or charger?

Can you charge it wirelessly with a MagSafe or Qi charger?

What model iPhone is it?
