I cannot start Cricut Design Space after software update.

I contacted Cricut for help but didn't have any answers. They said that something in my Mac's security settings is wrong. I saw that there was a question in the community but did not see anything to try. Is there anything I can try from the Mac end before I dive in with the Cricut help people again?
