I cannot seem to get my google email to go online. I enable it and it checks and goes back to offline. I cannot get my emails unless I go to Google directly. How do I fix this? WiFi is good and I have restarted my Mac several times. Please help!

Mac's Mail App is not as modern as iOS's Mail app, Many eMail providers now require a separate App Password different from your eMail password…
If it's an IMAP account, delete it in Sys Prefs Internet Accounts then use "Other" instead of gMail choice to add it.
Most likely biggest factor is using Other in Mail setup, then using a Browser that doesn’t have gMail PW stored init to get the App PW.

I also spent hours trying to solve this issue until I followed this video... It worked and my Gmail accounts are back on Mac Mail.

Periodically, Google wants you to sign in to confirm your identity and Apple Mail may place a tilde '~' to show that Google email is offline. If you right-click on that entry and select Take "Google" online, it may pop a dialog asking you to open the default browser which will take you to the Google sign-in screen. Once you do that, Google Mail may now come back online again in Apple Mail. You will also likely receive an email from Google that you can ignore…
