How do I get my new trackpad to copy and paste?

Stedman1, I do not know how to program the trackpad--I find it very confusing. I just want to know some basic things such as the copy and paste which I use all the time. No message seems to pop up. Just nothing at all. I just got this new iMac and the trackpad as well as the mouse so I am quite overwhelmed at the moment with all the info coming at me and terms that are unknown by me. I think it is going to take time to figure all this out. I thank you for taking time to respond.

stedman1, I will do some more reading (the Apple article you pointed out plus others) and play around some more with seeing what might work. I know it will eventually get figured out in my head--with me, it just takes some time!

stedman1, yes, that is a good idea. Youtube videos have been a lifesaver for many other things so I will probably end up there for this situation as well. Appreciate it! Thanks.

stedman1, I just had to come back to say I have learned how to do the right click thing, copy and paste and lots of other things from the videos. My head is swimming but it has been so helpful.
