Memories Video - Export Failed (There was a problem trying to export this memory)
Device: iPhone 15 Pro, updated to iOS 17.7
Today Apple created a photo montage of my Nana, because today is her birthday. I watched it, added and removed some photos, and rewatched the video. It played fine, but when I tried to send it to her via iMessage, I got the "Export Failed" error message. Whenever I tried to save or send the video, my phone stayed stuck at the same progress level of "Preparing Video..." for around 30 seconds before giving me an error message.
I feel like I have tried everything, including most of the suggestions on a Community thread with the same title, authored by FredisDead on here back in 2021. It's ridiculous that this is still an issue, 3 years and many iOS updates later.
Here are the million things I have tried:
Saving to camera roll (same error message), exporting to a shared album (same error message), airdropping to my computer (same error message), restarting my phone, updating the iOS, tapping "manage photos" (no message popped up telling me I needed to save any of the photos to camera roll like another user suggested), screen recording the video (it removes the sound, even when I make sure microphone is turned on and volume is up), doing it over wifi, doing it over cellular, and the file is definitely NOT too big. It's only 30 photos!
Like other users have mentioned, I do not have any symbology like a "/" in the video title (although why this would cause an issue is beyond me). I do have the setting that saves the full quality images in my camera roll to iCloud, but I have not found a way to bypass this and "redownload" the images in the montage. I made sure to open each individual image in my camera roll and they rendered in full quality.
I've tried so many things at this point, hearing the song Apple chose for the montage ****** me off. At this point, I would just love suggestions of another photo/video montage app to use. Apple's sucks!!!
Please help!
