MBP 2018 13" Slow - check my etrecheck pls?

Hi friends, my MBP 2018 is slowing down majorly - i brought it in for battery service but the guy was realy honest at the genius bar and recommended i not do that since it's such an old model.

I plan to give this laptop to my husband who just uses the laptop for simple things like email, youtube and canva. Genius bar guy suggested when I'm ready to move on, to just bring it in to wipe completely for my husband esp since my battery life was still pretty decent when not plugged in.

I plan to get more into video and photo editing and will be upgrading soon. the 2018 only has 8 GB ram... is it done for? I can barely even type long emails without the lollipop of death coming on the screen. Please help!
