I have the same issue, You have to switch between apps then it responds. It has been happening all the time. I thought it was my network drive so moved work onto local disk but same issue.

SO to be clear. You are typing away and then let's say you switch to WhatsApp desktop to comment on something. You click into the chat textbox and type away but no characters are being displayed. If you click out into something else or swap chat then go back to the previous chat, it will start to work again until the next long pause in typing.

Happens on any app so far for me, Safari, Obsidian, WhatsApp and Logic Pro 11

I have the same issue. I have an old apple keyboard, purchased with my 2014 imac I believe.

It was connected to an M2 Mac mini, which I upgrade to sequoia 15.1. I typed the password on the keyboard to authorize the upgrade and kicked it off. Came back after a few hours to find a login screen with a keyboard that did not work.

Luckily I had a spare keyboard but this keyboard no longer works with the Mac. It still works fine with a windows machine.

I wonder if some drivers for very old keyboards were removed from the latest OS ? Is there a way to check ?

Same. I upgraded to Sequoia from Ventura (had to because of Adobe Creative Cloud updates). Now, on every start, if I don't enter my password within a certain period of time, the Bluetooth connection window pops up asking me to pair my magic keyboard. Frustrating. Wasn't a problem before upgrade, hope this gets resolved.

my machine is Macbook pro M1, magic keyboard gen 1, MacOS Sequoia 15.2... problem is volume down/F11 not working properly.
Is there anyone experienced this? Wanna make sure that the problem is not my apple bt keyboard, thanks!

my problem solve with spraying contact cleaner underneath volume/F11 key my apple magic keyboard! 😉

So confirm, it was my keyboard problem at the first place, not the Sequoia problem… in my case at least 😕

Been upgraded to Sequoia 15.1.1 last night... then i realize that my magic keyboard gen 1 volume down is not working properly. Once pushed, the volume will go down until muted. After that, the volume up will not work until i have to push fn + esc. But then once the volume down button pushed again, the volume will go down until muted...

Before Sequoia 15.1.1, no issue at all, everything normal...
