A bit more of a technical description of the issues you are having would be beneficial in helping you with the problem. Do you have the right cable? Plug one end of the cable into the drive and the other end into the computer.
done that using a USB cable

What is the problem? Did your dog swallow the drive? Is the computer turned on?
