What is the difference between iPhone LLA and TRA model

I have to upgrade from 15 promax to 16 promax, but TRA model is quite high priced than LLA model. What is the difference in quality, usage experience and SIM types used in both models? Please help me out!

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 18

I’m UK based, so not an expert on the newest model differences between countries, however, based on previous years, I believe the TRA model has the option of a physical SIM and eSIM (or two eSIM) setup, as opposed to eSIM only that the LLA models have. I wouldn’t worry about quality differences in build at all. Know people who’ve had both (in older 13/14/15 models) and they’ve been perfectly happy. I’d go with the TRA as there’s zero trade offs. LLA models simply have a plastic insert within the phone where the SIM card slot used to be.

Hope this helps at least a little.

The LL/A models are only sold in the US. They do not have a physical SIM slot, they are eSIM only.

If you are not in the US and are buying a device ending in LL/A, you are at best, buying a used or gray market device. At worst, a stolen device.

You will almost certainly not be able to get is serviced under warranty outside of the US and probably not out of warranty either.
