My airpods model number is different from what it says on my phone

I recently left my airpods in class and lost them but i got them back but im not sure if someone took my case and this one isn’t really mine i mean the serial number matches from what it says on my phone but what doesn’t match is the model it’s different from what it says on my phone on my airpods case it is A2897 but on my phone it says A2564?
