Charging options settings for iPad

I am wondering if anyone knows why on an iPhone, we have settings for charging options but not for the iPad. Like in the Settings app on iPhone in iOS 18, you tap on Battery and under battery you have Charging options. Like a charging limit sliding scale or optimize battery charging. None of these options appear under Battery on the iPad. Also, there is no battery health indicator on the iPad.

My understanding is that iPads and iPhones use the same kind of lithium-ion battery chemistry. So why has Apple given us battery charging options and the ability to see the battery health on an iPhone but not an iPad. Apparently, they know how to do it. It makes no sense.

Anyone have an answer or have any good ideas why?

Oh, I also wrote to Apple about this through Apple.com/feedback, but I know they never reply, so I’m asking here too…

Thank you in advance!

As for why Apple choose to make some features available to one or other platform or model are known only to Apple. That said, product and model differentiation is common across all manufacturers of just about everything - be it a car, TV, washing machine...
