How do I set up AirPods Pro 2 as hearing aids?

I just purchased AirPod pro 2 and want to use as hearing aids NOT using Live Listen. They are paired to my phone but are not pairing with the MFI Hearing Devices, found at Settings-Accessibility-Hearing Devices-MFI Hearing Devices. Is this where I set them up to use as hearing aids? If not, how do I do it?

AirPods Pro 2 hearing aid mode and iOS hearing test are not available yet.

it is a feature coming in a firmware update and update to iOS 18.

Hmm. A friend is currently using AirPod Pro 2’s as hearing aids. Any chance the iOS 18 update I downloaded this morning doesn’t have the same update?
