How to unlock carrier

You call the carrier to which the phone is now locked, and ask them to remove the lock on the phone.

The carrier will only do this if you are a current customer of the carrier and you have met the qualifications for unlocking the phone.

Only the carrier can unlock the phone. Apple is not involved with this in any way.

Ask the carrier involved if they'll unlock it, or visit their website; they need to approve all unlock requests, except when Apple accidentally replaced an unlocked unit with a locked one.

If they don't offer unlocking or you don't qualify, sell it to one of their customers.
