2021 14” MBP Logic Board Dead

I got a 2021 MacBook Pro 14” M1 16GB/512GB back in Feb 22’, I had a 2 year AppleCare warranty and my MacBooks logic board died Jun 24’ so just shortly after the warranty expired. I took it to an authorized apple repair shop and they quoted me $700-800. I looked online and saw it’d cost me $700+ DIY, I know the new Mac mini and M4 laptops will come out soon so what is the best play for me? Sell as is? Repair? Repair and sell? Also when would be the best time to repair or sell?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.5

The value as parts is limited market because only a handful of buyers in the whole country. Everyone else wants a Mac they can take out of the box and use TODAY. So maybe you could get US$100.

look at the value if it were working and you traded it in. just enter it as if it were working and they will tell you the value -- you don't have to commit to the trade-in.

look at the value if working and you sold it and got a good price. eBay 'completed items' will give you some idea.

EveryMac.com estimated a few months ago it might be worth US$1400 retail if working, but that may no longer be current, and that may be an "if you get lucky" price..
