External audio interface problems with camera app

Using I phone 13 pro

Apple lightning camera usb3 adapter and moto m6 external audio interface

garage band records 2 inputs from the external source fine and the are played back in centre through both headphone speakers

but when recoding video on the camera app, it splits the audio of each input and pans them hard right and left so each signal only comes through left or right head phone

as this is working properly using garage band and not with the camera app I would say it’s a bug in the camera app

im not the only one experiencing this, please fix this problem apple so we can record video with high quality external audio interfaces
