Wifi not connecting after battery died (hotspot does still work)

My MacBook Air (2020, M1 chip, 15.0 (24A335)) ran out of battery. When I turned it on, it wouldn't connect back to my home wifi network.

My phone and other laptop are still connected (so no issue from the wifi itself).

When I try connect it gives me the bars 'searching' animation at the top of my screen. But then never does connect.

It looks like it connects for half a second, and then continues to look as though it is searching.

After a few seconds the password prompt for the network pops up again.

During the process it says "connected" to my wifi network in the wifi settings menu, but never connects.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.0
