issues with trade in

Trade in via likewize feels like a con. I got a quote for £95 which was then reduced to £20 due to ‘condition issues’. No details given and just given option to accept or decline. The pad in question worked perfectly fine, the only reason I traded it in was because it was no longer supported by the latest iOS software update.

I recommend taking a trade in to the Apple Store directly where you will get an on the spot trade in value. Condition is subjective and what one person thinks may be great, another may consider it average and that will affect the trade in value.

I know not everyone has the option to take a device to an Apple Store for trade-in, but even if it requires a bit more drive time, it may be worth it for your piece of mind and to avoid the hassle altogether.
