Mac updated without permission and now doesn't see the only printer I have. I've restarted both; they're on the same network. Doesn't show up at all when I try to add a printer. At this point I need to know which version of OS to downgrade to so my printer works again. I don't remember what it was before Monterey.

if it was me then I would go to brothers site and see if they have a driver for that printer model for the version of macOS you are running now.
