Account Error: Hotmail
For the past few days whenever I go into the mail app, I get “account error: hotmail” after a while and when I click details it shows these screens. Outlook says that their server is fine.

Use the Exchange option in Mail to set up Hotmail once your you remove it from Mail. Microsoft sent out a letter in August warning Hotmail user about the switch. If that doesn't work then the other alternative is to use Outlook from the app store.
