Google Chrome won't install new updates as it's saying I need macOS 11 or later.
I am currently running mac OS catalina 10.15.7 which apple says catalina should be enough?
Any ideas anyone??

If Chrome says you need macOS 11, then you should believe it.
macOS 11 Big Sur (11.7.x) is newer than macOS 10 Catalina (10.15.x).
You options are:
1 - follow @Rudegar's guidance and use a different browser.
2 - upgrade your macOS to Big Sur or newer, if available.
3 - upgrade your Mac hardware - newer Mac.

Opera still supports 10.15 Catalina...
Although Firefox v131 still supports macOS Catalina, the Brave Browser now requires Big Sur or later, and it is derived from Chrome. The handwriting is on the wall for minimum macOS operating system version support.
