Does anyone know of a currently supported S.M.A.R.T. status from an external USB drive?

DiskDrill used to have a link to a 3rd Party tool that they integrated with to provide S.M.A.R.T. status on external drives. Unfortunately the provider of the 3rd Party Tool stopped supporting it after MacOS 11. It worked fine through MacOS 14, but with MacOS 15, it no longer works.

Does anyone know of alternative that works with MacOS 15?

Mac mini, macOS 15.0

DriveDx has a tool for that, but it's not free. It only works on SATA enclosures which are connected via USB (C?) as far as I know, not on drives like Samsung T7 etc.

FYI, DriveDx should be able to work with the Samsung T7 although it may depend on whether you are using the Samsung proprietary software to manage the T7 since I know that the Samsung driver is not compatible with the special USB driver DriveDx provides. However, I don't know if the Samsung driver will allow DriveDx to access the Samsung T7 instead of needing to install the DriveDx special USB driver.

If you are using the Samsung Magician software, then that should include SMART monitoring as well so there would be no need for another app although DriveDx may provide better customization & notification features (I've never used the Samsung Magician software).

I second the recommendation for DriveDx. It is a very nice app.

FYI, many of these types of apps actually utilize the same free open source utility at their core to retrieve the SMART health information from a drive. They just wrap it up in a different GUI interface perhaps with slightly different features & options.

Edit: DriveDx does have a free trial period.
