Apple pay verification

To verify my debit card on apple pay, I am supposed to call the number 1-844-646-5465. Is this number safe to give my card information to?

Apple Pay the card verification phone number is an old number I'm trying to add a credit card to my Apple Pay, but the card verification phone number shows the old number. How to change it? FYI, under Settings - Wallet & Apple Pay - Transaction Defaults, the phone number show the correct number. Even Apple's 2-factor verification sent to the correct number. Verification credit card for apple pay I have a working credit card on my name, the company is assuring me apple pay is activated, still the wallet app on my iphone SE keeps asking for verification. Now they directed me to contact apple.. Any idea where / how to go with this problem?

Yes, any Notification you see during the verification process using Apple Wallet is from the bank that issued your credit or debit card.
