Emergency Charging

I am impacted by Helene. No power. Using my lawn equipment batteries as battery back-ups to charge my phone. But, constantly have to monitor since it will just stop charging. I assume due to some sort of idle or battery health thing. I tried messing with settings under battery, but no luck. How can I trick phone to keep charging?
