iMac 18.2 from 2017 ?

To eliminate any possible doubts regarding the above

How about a Screen Shot from " About this Mac " without the serial number appearing in the image ?

And to quote @dialabrain

" The only way that could happen is if you have an unsupported hack installed. The 2017 iMac we still have gets no notice of the Sequoia or Sonoma upgrades. "

This could be the case or maybe apple still send notifications to devices that are technically incompatible until the system recognizes the hardware limitations.

It just went to Sequoia 15.1. You can wait a few more updates before updating. I suspect that there are still bugs to be swatted in the OS.

Over the past few years, people have become addicted to upgrades. It's just crazy.

So I guess that Apple figures that you could be like most people these days and freaking out over not being able to update to Sequoia. How can you live like this???

So, they are letting you know that an upgrade is available, even if you have to purchase a new computer to do it.
