section page numbers

I have a Pages document with three sections. The first section is a single page, the internal title page, and has no page number. The second section contains a blank page with no number, the table of contents in two pages, and a single page forward. The third section is the body of the document, about 45 pages.

What I want to do, and am having difficulty with, is having the second section with page numbers in the format "i., ii., iii." and the third section restarting from 1, with its page numbers in the format "1.,2.,3."

My problem is in getting the numbers in section two to increment.

Thanks in advance for any help with this...

On the first page of Section 2, visit Document panel > Section, and uncheck Match previous section. Insert a page number in your preferred header/footer location. Back in the preceding Section panel, select the "i,ii, iii…" format and then Start at: 1. Your page number will change to i.

In the third section, the same instructions but change the page number format to the normal numerals.
