Keeping data in iCloud after deleting last Apple device

Hi. I read a post (that I could not reply too - too old) that said "When you sign out of one - A - of your two devices (call them A and B) you have attached to iCloud the data will be deleted (unless you choose to save a local copy) on device A. Retained in iCloud. If you sign out of device B data on device B will be deleted and *also* the device in iCloud will be deleted.

That is not how I thought it worked. I hope it does not work that way. I want my data (photos, especially, but everything) to be preserved in iCloud as long as I continue to pay for iCloud storage - even if I sign out of any and all devices - both A and B in this case. In this case I'd still have the devices in iCloud+ (like I see them in offline but in "Find Devices"). I think I have "iCloud+" BTW.

And I'd like the data to remain in iCloud+ as long as I keep paying the monthly fee, even if no devices are signed into the iCloud account, and *even if I delete all my devices from my iCloud+ account". In this case A + B.

So I want to keep what I have in iCloud+ even if it seems I have no Apple devices at all anymore. Because I might sell all my Apple devices today, and in 6 months I might buy a new one, and want to link to my account, and have all my good stuff.

Thanks for any hints on this.
