Battery health dropped from 98 to 96 after 10 cycles in 10 days

Do you think it is normal that after installing ios 18 bh drops on 98% and it had 202 cycles and after 212 cycles it is on 96%

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18

Yes, it's normal. Changes in battery health are not linear. The figure can remain without change for days or sometimes even weeks and then will take a sudden drop, or sometimes even increase a bit. It's all in how the power algorhythms do their analysis and calculation. It's not a precise science. On average, Battery Health will decline about 1% for every 25 charge cycles, so over 212 charge cycles your iPhone is actually better than average.

They will see the battery health percentage and tell you that it is fine. There is not a problem. It is not below 80% which is when it would indicate the battery needs to be replaced. The percentage is not linear and at times you may not see a drop at all (it would stay at the same percentage for months for example and then you may see months were it drops more than you were used to). This is not abnormal.
